35 years of history

1. 1991 — Quebec's first digital VFX studio sees the light of day

   Born from the dream of its founding partners: Pierre Raymond, Michel Murdock, Daniel Leduc and Sylvie Talbot.

2. 1997 — Mimic marks a turning point

   Guillermo del Toro's film gives Hybride a leading role in digital visual effects on the international market.

3. 2001 — Hybride turns heads with Spy Kids

   A collaboration with director Robert Rodriguez begins.

4. 2005 — Our artists redefine the aesthetic criteria of VFX

   Sin City raises the bar to a level never before seen on the big screen.

5. 2008 — Ubisoft joins Hybride's experience

   Sharing technological and creative expertise positions both companies ahead of the pack.

6. 2009 — Hybride contributes to Avatar

   The studio is of the teams behind the visual effects of James Cameron's 3D mega production.

7. 2016 — Arrival showcases the studio's technical excellence

   Hybride shines worldwide alongside director Denis Villeneuve.

8. 2019 — New studios on rue De Gaspé in Montréal

   Hybride inaugurates its new home to welcome an ever-growing team.

9. 2020 — 883 VFX shots for The Mandalorian, season two

   Delivered as vendor with Lucasfilm, almost entirely completed remotely.

10. 2021 — Pierre Raymond passes the torch to Michel Murdock

    Thirty years after the studio's founding, Michel Murdock assumes the presidency with a new management team.

11. 2025 — Hybride shines at the Emmy Awards

    The Studio takes home an Emmy for Andor season 2, and a Children's & Family Emmy Award for Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
